Programme Formats
The same core programme, delivered in two ways to suit different situations.
Join a public cohort
Individual places available on scheduled dates. You attend alongside professionals from other organisations, which creates a useful cross-sector perspective during exercises and discussion.
Typically 8–14 participants
One full day (9am – 5pm)
20 Harcourt St, Dublin 2
Individual places
What's included
- Pre-programme baseline reading assessment
- Full-day facilitated programme
- All printed materials and exercises
- Personal technique reference guide
- 30-day consolidation practice plan
- Six-week follow-up group call
- Lunch and refreshments throughout the day
This format suits
Individuals who want to attend without committing their whole team, or professionals in smaller organisations where an in-house session isn't practical. Also suited to people who prefer the cross-sector mix of an open cohort.
Dedicated session for your organisation
A programme delivered exclusively for your team, at your premises or at Harcourt Street. The core content is the same as the open programme, with exercises adapted to the specific document types your team works with.
6–20 participants per session
One full day
Your premises or Harcourt St
Whole-group booking
What's included
- Pre-programme consultation on your team's reading challenges
- Content adapted to your document types
- Baseline assessment for all participants
- Full-day facilitated programme
- All printed materials and exercises
- Personal technique reference guide for each participant
- 30-day consolidation plan for each participant
- Six-week follow-up call with the group
This format suits
Organisations wanting to upskill a team together. The shared experience and shared vocabulary that comes from attending as a group tends to reinforce the habits more effectively than individual attendance. Particularly useful for teams who process similar document types and can support each other in applying new techniques.
Common questions about formats
How far in advance should I book?
For open programme places, booking a few weeks in advance is advisable as cohort sizes are kept small. For in-house sessions, we recommend at least four to six weeks to allow time for the pre-programme consultation and content adaptation.
Can individuals from the same organisation attend an open cohort?
Yes. If you have two or three people who want to attend but not enough for a dedicated in-house session, individual places on an open cohort work well. We can often accommodate people from the same organisation on the same date.
What's the difference in content between formats?
The core techniques and structure are the same. The difference is in the exercises: in-house sessions use document types drawn from your actual work, which makes the practice more directly applicable. Open cohorts use a range of professional document types that cover most common formats.
Is the programme available outside Dublin?
In-house sessions can be delivered at your premises anywhere in Ireland. Open programme dates currently run in Dublin. If there's interest in open cohorts in other cities, contact us to discuss.
What preparation is required?
Participants receive a short pre-reading (around 20 minutes) and a baseline reading assessment to complete before the day. Neither requires any prior knowledge of reading techniques — they're used to calibrate the starting point and personalise feedback during the programme.
Is there a follow-up after the programme?
Yes. All participants receive a 30-day practice plan and join a six-week follow-up group call. The call is structured around questions that have come up in practice and helps reinforce habits that are forming.
